Take Tea with Transitions

Our next event is on Saturday May 7th, at the Druitt Hall (next to the library) High St., Christchurch, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. We are having this at the same time as the International Food Festival in the town to encourage people to think about locally grown, organic food, or produce you can grow yourself.

It will be an open-house café style event. We would like to have a seed/plant swap. So if
like last year (at the Christchurch Community Celebration) you donated seedlings or plants, please do let us know if you can bring any this time. There was a huge take-up last year, we gave away everything that was donated, so we are hoping to make it even bigger and better this year.

If anyone has any gardening magazines, recipes etc that they would also like to bring to share, that would be an added bonus, ditto positive publications like Resurgence or Positive News. We’ll also have available information on The Local Food Challenge from the New Forest Transitions group.

There will also be a stand there on Fair Trade. They will be supplying all the Fair Trade tea, coffee and sugar that we will be serving, and I hear there will also be samples of Fair Trade chocolate to try! Who can resist that?

.Free event. Refreshments available.
